[found you @ SDN]

It was very interesting reading this. Inspiring indeed. Not many accepted applicants have the experience nor dedication that you do. it makes me feel that maybe med school isn't for me.

I do wonder about how you graduated summa cum laude without a perfect (being a 4.0) GPA?

Thank you for sharing your struggles, dreams, aspirations and dedication towards a career in medicine as a true doctor.

You've really inspired me :)

Aloha,

Thank you for creating this blog, I wish I found it earlier. I admire your honesty and openness to share your struggles and accomplishments.

Not everyone is okay with posting their grades, their MCAT scores, their personal struggles and personal statements. You have no responsibility to anyone to share your personal life, but you do, to help others, strangers you don't even know, you might never meet.

You have no idea how many people you will touch, encourage, inspire, motivate with this site.

A million thank yous. I will continue fighting and chasing my dream of becoming a doctor...

Hi this is a nice blog! You have many experiences that have shaped who you are. You will definitely make a good candidate for most medical schools! And I too, wonder how you got summa cum laude with so many Bs!

Summa Cum Laude designation at the University of Southern Mississippi is a 3.8 or higher and the publication of an Honor's Thesis.

Only grades from my time at USM counted, and I only recieved 3 B's (5 credit hours of B's since two of the courses were 1 hour labs).

I hope this made sense.
